Power Transformer Guard (PTG)

The power transformer guard (PTG) is an integrated system with dual ability to measure both vibration and  temperature for the purpose of extending your as set lifetime .
the power transformer guard is designed to monitor oil filled power transformer in order to extract a signature of its condition without such condition monitoring (CM) ability its difficult to know when your transformer needs to be serviced or replaced  .
The PTG measures vibration in the frequency range of 20-1000 HZ to display the various components of the vibration .
the largest vibration comes from winding's / coils whose shape is lost as a consequence of excessive vibration .an excessive amplitude leads to play in the coils .
Existing play allows large amplitude vibration , which in turn reinforces the play .
It is a vicious cycle if left unchecked. At worse, a total breakdown of your transformer will happen resulting in catastrophic failure .
Adopting PT  guard is the key to a robust system . It provides long  term monitoring of your transformer behavior and the ability to react before catastrophic failure leads to increase expenses .
PTG sensors are 2mm thin , resistant to high temperature immune to EMI  and high voltages and are
designed to be installed inside the tank between the winding turns and submerged in the cooling oil .
